I am also planning to buy for 42" or 46" LED TV. But not convinced for big brands like Sony or Samsung. I have experienced both Sony & Samsung TV sets. They are good but for me quality/service/warranty period is imp.
Quality of big brands is deteriorating day by day, I mean sony doesn't have same quality which it used to have some 10-15 years ago. Also many brands have reduced warranty to only one year. Also their service level has also worsen.
Tech has advanced so many advanced features now becoming common & many TV brands have almost same features, the only difference being branding of feature.(like Trilluminous colours etc.)
I think Philips was having some 3 years warranty but now it has reduced to 12+8 months.
If any manyfacturer is giving more warranty that means quality is better.
I am still searching for a good brand which will give more warranty. I thought of Videocon but yet to come across any experienced user. Budget is no constraint for me.
