Shane Warne, Australia's legendary legspinner, on Friday (November 18), announced the list of cricketers, who have signed up to play in the Cricket Superstars, a T20 tournament featuring yesteryear stars, to be held in the United States of America in September - October next year.
Last year, Shane Warne Warriors and Sachin Tendulkar Blasters took on each other in a three-match Cricket All Stars series in New York, Houston and Los Angeles, with the former winning the rubber 3-0.
New Zealand's Brendon McCullum, England's Kevin Pietersen, Pakistan's Shahid Afridi, Australia's Mitchell Johnson and Michael Clarke are set to join the league. On the other hand, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Glenn McGrath, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting, Shoaib Akhtar, Brian Lara and Co. are expected to feature in Warne's tournament for a second year running.
Warne announced on his official Facebook page: "Great news for cricket lovers around the world who have never seen their heroes play live or only saw them for the first time play last year in the USA.
"The Cricket Superstars is excited to announce that it's back again in 2017 & it's a huge pleasure to announce these players who have signed up to play with more legends to announce soon," wrote Warne.
