Philips has launched three Android smartphones and a feature phone in the Indian market. The new Philips S308, W3500, and the Xenium W6610 Android smartphones are priced at Rs 8,290, Rs 14,650, and Rs 20,262 respecitvely. Philips also launched a feature phone, the E130, for Rs 1,960.
The Philips S308 features a 4 inch touchscreen with 480x800 pixel resolution. This 9.7 mm thick handset weighs just 125 grams despite having a 1400 mAh battery that claims to offer 9.5 hours of talktime. This Android 4.2 Jelly Bean based smartphone comes with a 1 Ghz dual core processor.
It has 512 MB RAM, 1.1 GB internal user available memory, and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. Besides, it has a 5 megapixel rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and micro USB port.
The mid range W3500 has a 5 inch touchscreen but with the same 480x854 pixels resolution as the S308. It too is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean but has a 1.3 Ghz quad core processor and 1 GB RAM. As expected, it has a bigger 2200 mAh battery. The Philips W3500 comes with 5 megapixel rear camera along with a LED flash light, dual SIM, micro USB 2.0, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The Xenium W6610 is the costliest handset in the Philips stable. Its highlight is its 5300mAh battery - the biggest for any smartphone. Besides, it has a 1.3 Ghz quad core processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, a 5-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS display, and 1GB RAM.
The Philips Xenium W6610 comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card to up to 32GB. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and CMOS sensor, while a 2-megapixel is in its front. For connectivity, the dual-SIM Xenium W6610 has 3G, WiFi, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.
The feature phone of Philips, the E130, comes with dual-SIM and a digital camera (unspecified megapixel count). It has FM radio, MP3 player, and an expandable storage slot for a micro SD card of up to 32GB.
