Phicomm Passion 660 gets Rs.2,000 price cut

Chinese company Phicomm - that recently made its debut in India - has slashed the price of its Passion 660 smartphone by Rs.2,000. The Phicomm Passion 660 that was launched in June at a price of Rs.10,999 is now available at a reduced price of Rs.8,999. The Passion 660 is an Amazon.in exclusive in the country.

"This festive season Phicomm has dropped down the price of its flagship LTE Android smartphone Phicomm Passion 660 to Rs.8,999," the company announced in a press statement.

The new price cut makes the Phicomm Passion 660 one of the cheapest phones in the Indian market to come with a FullHD resolution display. The Lenovo K3 Note was earlier the cheapest FullHD phone in the country. Priced at Rs.9,999 the K3 Note is a Flipkart exclusive.

The Passion 660 comes with a 5-inch FullHD IPS display with a 1920x1080 pixels resolution and 441ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.65GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with Adreno 405 and 2GB RAM.

The phone comes with 16GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up to 64GB via microSD card. It runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with the company's own Expect 5.0 UI on top.

The P660 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX 214 sensor, auto-focus and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel camera with BSI sensor and 84-degree wide angle view on the front.

The 4G LTE-capable smartphone is backed by a 2,300mAh battery.
