Although the official cause of death has yet to be determined, Paul Bearer, who passed away last night (March 5, 2013) at the age of 58, was reportedly suffering from a blood clot just days prior.
Details are still sparse on the circumstances surrounding Paul Bearer's untimely death last night (March 5, 2013) at the age of 58 but a recent report from TMZ.com sheds some light on the status of his health in the days prior.
According to that report, he was suffering from a blood clot.
"Cowboy" Bob Kelly -- the prez of a prominent wrestling society called the Cauliflower Alley Club -- tells TMZ he last saw Paul on March 2nd at a Club reunion.
Bob says Paul was in bad health, with a severe breathing problem. According to people at the event, Bearer was coughing and had trouble standing for long periods of time. He told people he was going to seek treatment for what he called "respiratory issues."
Apparently, once Bearer, real name William Moody, went to the hospital, he was diagnosed with a blood clot. Moody had longstanding health issues due in large part to his morbid obesity. He allowed himself to get up to over 525 pounds before undergoing gastric bypass surgery. He seemed to be on the right track but unfortunately things took a turn for the worse.
