Transporters are criticising the government for lack of consultation with stakeholders before amending the law, highlighting flaws and asserting that transporters and drivers are significant contributors to the country's economy.
Nothing to say on the laws but did they really expected this government to consult and discuss before doing anything 🤣 🤣

Till elections these will continue as the root cause of all such issues - is a political one. And these all are tactics to get the government into a corner. Don't know how would this all span out.

Why should they consult the term for a crime?
It's like consulting murders and rapist what punishments should be given to them for their crime.
Fun fact: There was a strong case in CCI against Jio for predatory pricing but it was decided that they can only intervene if TRAI thought so and TRAI didn't do anything in benefit of the industry. If you see they safeguarded illegal act by refusing to pursue it. Law is about balance, it cannot stop crimes, it is mere deterrence.

Of course stakeholders need to be consulted, Stakeholders do not include just criminals but everyone involved in the system, including victim, prosecutors, experts and so on. In our daily life also we talk to different people of expertise and experience before making important decisions, take second, third opinions because consulting will lead to improvement and help in making wise choices.
