NEW DELHI: Panasonic has launched
a new budget phablet, P55, at Rs
10,290. It will be available starting
first week of November.

The 5.5-inch IPS HD display equipped
phablet has a tile patterned back
cover and is 7.9mm thick. It weighs
148 gram.

Powered by a 1.2GHz quad core
processor and 1GB RAM, the phablet
has 4GB internal storage expandable
up to 32GB with the use of a
microSD card. Panasonic P55 runs
Android 4.4 KitKat and offers
software features like "Tap Play" to
recognize touch while in sleep mode,
"Gesture Play", a gesture based
feature to launch apps directly from
home screen, "Pop-i Player" to
multi-task while playing videos and a
single hand operable music player
named "Music cafe".

The phone sports an 8MP rear
camera with LED flash and a 2MP
front facing camera. The rear camera
supports full-HD video capture.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim
phone supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct,
Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS. Panasonic
is shipping the phone with a screen
guard and flip cover.

Commenting on the launch, Manish
Sharma, managing director,
Panasonic India said "With
