Panasonic has expanded its Eluga range by launching a new smartphone called Eluga Note. Priced at Rs 13,290, the Panasonic Eluga Note runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, with its custom FitHome interface on top of Android. The FitHome UI features thumb-flick gestures to quickly access apps from the home screen.
With the Eluga Note, Panasonic has also added an IR Blaster, which will allow users to operate home appliances such as TVs, ACs and multimedia home entertainment systems such as DVD and Blu-Ray players. That’s not all; the smartphone also comes with support for 4G LTE and VoLTE voice calling.
Panasonic Eluga Note specifications, features:
The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display with pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit MT6753 1.3GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. With 32GB of onboard storage, the Eluga Note also features a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 32GB.
For shutterbugs, Panasonic has equipped with Eluga Note with a 16-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/1.9, 6P lens and triple LED flash. Up front is a 5-megpaixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The camera app also includes support for gesture and voice capture. Armed with a 3,000mAh battery, connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and dual SIM 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
At its price point, the Panasonic Eluga Note will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 , LeEco Le 2 and Lenovo’s ZUK Z1 . Interestingly, the Eluga Note does not have a fingerprint scanner, which has become a norm in this price segment.
