Pakistan cricket team set a new record in the history of test cricket, as all top five batsmen of Pakistan scored over 80 runs.
The ton-up top order of Pakistan displayed brilliant batting performance in Abu Dhabi against Kiwis in the first test, maintaining the momentum they displayed against Aussies in recently -concluded test series in UAE.
Three batsmen including opener Ahmed Shehzad, Younis Khan and Misbahul Haq scored centuries as Pakistan declared its first innings in the first test against New Zealand in the last session at 566/3.
On second day, Younis and Misbah both scored 100 each, before the skipper announced to declare innings.
Earlier, Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad and Azhar Ali flayed the Kiwis bowlers to cement green shirt’s control over the match. Opener Muhammad Hafeez scored 96 and Azhar Ali 80 to help the green shirts to set a unique record in test cricket of scoring all top five batsmen 80 or over eighty runs.
