Pakistan's promising all-rounder
Anwar Ali has been ruled out of the
series in Zimbabwe due to a calf
muscle injury. The Pakistan Cricket
Board said that Anwar, who was rested
for the two T20 matches but included
in the squad for the three ODIs, was
out of the series now.
"Aamir Yamin who is already in the
T20 squad will replace Ali for the one-
day matches as well," a PCB official
said.
He said Ali was presently undergoing
rehabilitation for his fitness problem.
Ali, a budding young all-rounder, who
has played 17 ODIs and 11 T20
matches for Pakistan, has been
replaced by the rookie Aamir Yamin
who has performed well in domestic
cricket.
Pakistan on Sunday, however, handed
a debut to the other uncapped player
in the T20 squad Imran Khan jr who
made his debut in the first T20
international. Ali said he was
disappointed but was still feeling
uncomfortable bowling because of his
calf muscle problem.

"But I am resting and also doing
necessary rehab and I am confident I
will be back in action soon," Ali said.
Pakistan have had to grapple with a lot
of injury concerns over the last one
year. Left arm pacers Wahab Riaz and
Mohammad Irfan returned to the
Pakistan squad for the Zimbabwe tour
after weeks of rehabilitation following
fitness issues after the World Cup
2015. Fast bowler Sohail Khan, who
played in the World Cup, is yet to
recover from a back problem. Source: Pakistan all-rounder Anwar Ali ruled out of Zimbawe Tour
