Pakistan to play T20 friendly in Kabul

Afghanistan and Pakistan are all set to play each other in two T20 friendly ties in July-August. The decision was taken following a meeting between Afghanistan Cricket Board chairman Atif Mashal and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan in Lahore on Saturday (May 27).

While one T20 will be played in Kabul, the second one will be hosted by Pakistan in Lahore. The two teams will also play a bilateral series, with the dates of that contest yet to be fixed.

Afghanistan cancel friendly T20s against Pakistan

The short-lived détente between the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and the PCB is seemingly over, barely a week after it had begun. In the wake of a bomb blast in Kabul on Wednesday that killed over 80 people, the ACB has cancelled the friendly T20 matches it had scheduled with Pakistan, to be played in July and August in Kabul and Lahore.
