Oppo R9s smartphone to launch on October 19...

NEW DELHI: Oppo seems all set to launch its latest smartphone - R9s, in China. The company has scheduled an event for October 19, where it will likely launch the R9s. It will be a camera-focused smartphone, similar to the earlier launched R9 and R9 Plus.
Oppo has partnered with Sony to use its new IMX398 sensor for the smartphone. While there aren't many details available about the sensor, as per rumours it will be an upgrade of the IMX298. The camera will also have phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) feature.
In addition, Oppo R9s is expected to come with an aluminium alloy unibody design and VOOC flash charge functionality for quick charging.
Recently, Oppo launched a special Diwali edition of its F1s selfie smartphone. The original Oppo F1s was launched in August this year, at Rs 17,990. The Diwali edition of the smartphone has the same specifications as price.
The special edition Oppo F1s comes with Diwali-themed lamp pattern, along with autographs of Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor engraved on its back panel. The two are Oppo's brand ambassadors in India.
The key highlight of Oppo F1s is its camera. The phone has a 16MP front-facing shooter, which comes with a 1/3.1-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The camera app also has Beautify feature for editing, as well as a selfie panorama mode that lets users take three selfies at a time. There's screen flash feature as well.
Oppo F1s runs Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned with the company's ColourOS 3.0 and packs a 3,075mAh battery. Major connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, GPS and Bluetooth v4.0.
The limited edition Oppo F1s is available on both e-commerce website Snapdeal and offline Oppo Concept stores. It can be pre-ordered between October 8 to October 13, and sales begin on October 14.
