Chinese handset maker Oppo has launched its new flagship smartphone - Find 7 in India. The Oppo Find 7 features a 13 megapixel camera that can produce 50 megapixel image using a Sony Exmor IMX series sensor. Apart form that, Oppo Find 7 has a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 mobile chipset and runs Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Oppo has also introduced the new Find 7a smartphone that offers full HD resolution and slightly watered down specifications compared to the Find 7. The Oppo Find 7 is launched for Rs 37,990 and Find 7a is launched for Rs 31,990.
The Oppo Find 7 features a 5.5-inch touchscreen display sporting Quad-HD pixel resolution (2560x1440) pixel resolution and thereby pushing pixel density of 538 pixels per inch. Such high resolution display is powered by the new quad-core 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC mobile chipset paired with 3 GB RAM. Oppo has packed 32 GB on-board storage on Find 7 and also offered a memory card slot that can support up to 128 GB micro SD card.
In comparison to that, Find 7a features the 5.5-inch display with full 1080p HD resolution. It packs the similar quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB mobile chipset but clocked at 2.3 GHz coupled with 2 GB RAM. The Find 7a offers only 16 GB on-board storage and memory slot to support up to 128 GB micro SD card.
At the rear lies a Dual LED flash and the image module packs Pure Image 2.0 features. Basically, the Find 7's camera can let you record 4k resolution videos at 30 frames per second and even 720p HD videos in slow-motion (120 frames per second). It also includes 32-second slow shutter speed settings option and hand-held Night mode for better imaging in the dark. The highlight of the imaging is that the camera supports saving the image as RAW file.
Oppo has also integrated the MaxxAudio Mobile module for top quality audio output. The smartphone will offer the MaxxEQ equalizer to enable better audio control for the avid audio lovers. It even supports VOOC charging technology that enables Rapid Charging which makes it possible to recharge 75 per cent battery in 30 minute.
Find 7 packs a 3000 mAh battery to power the high resolution display, high quality camera and powerful processor. Meanwhile the Find 7a packs 2800 mAh battery to power the full HD display. The marginal difference between the both Find 7 and Find 7a are aptly justified. As of now, Oppo Mobiles has promised to make the Find 7 available for the Indian market in early July. Meanwhile, there is no estimated date for the Oppo Find 7a smartphone.
