OnePlus is rolling out a big update to Oxygen OS, bringing sRGB mode, improved RAM management, and better GPS performance to the OnePlus 3.

This is the OTA that OnePlus promised it would roll out to users in response to criticism about the phone’s color rendition and overly aggressive memory management. The changes were initially rolled out to reviewers through a special Oxygen 3.1.4 OTA on June 23.

Oxygen 3.2 is rolling out now to the public – there’s no official announcement just yet, but multiple users on the OnePlus forums reported they received it (via AndroidWorld).

Here’s what the changelog for the update, which is a sizeable 396MB, reads:

Enabled sRGB mode in developer options
Improved RAM management
Improved GPS performance
Enhanced audio playback quality
Updated custom icon packs
Fixed some issues with notifications
Improved camera quality/functionality
Fixed some issues in Gallery
Latest Google security patches
Fixed bugs in Clock/Music apps

According to commenters on the forum, the update also fixes an issue that caused the magnetic sensor on the OnePlus 3 to misfire, causing problems when using the phone with Cardboard style VR headsets.

That’s a sizeable update that may impact multiple facets of the OnePlus 3 user experience, and we definitely look forward to taking it for a spin.
