A month ago, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had disclosed to CNET that the OnePlus 3 flagship smartphone is going to be launched in June 2016. While little is known about the upcoming smartphone from the Chinese company, a new leak gives us some clues as to what we can expect.
The same was revealed by Taiwanese blogger, Mobile-dad , who states that the upcoming OnePlus 3 will have a completely revamped design. This is again similar to what Pei conveyed to CNET a month ago.
The leaked images that show concept renders of the OnePlus 3 reveal a slimmer design. The front is made of glass while the back appears to be a textured material (which will probably be replaceable). The rest is familiar; a metal frame seems to hold the front and back in place.
On the front, the handset sports two speakers, one each at the top and bottom, with a large display sporting a larger screen-to-body ratio when compared to the OnePlus 2. Another visual change comes with the addition of a shutter key for the camera.
Looking into the leaked specifications, the handset is expected to sport a 5.5 Full HD display, an enhanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner .
Other features include a 20 MP camera, USB Type-C port at the bottom and the usual power/lock slider button that we saw first on the OnePlus 2.
Indeed these are the first of many leaks to come. The images shown above are leaked concept designs that could belong to a prototype or the final model, but for now there is no way to confirm the same.
Last we heard, Microsoft was planning to bring Windows 10 Mobile to the OnePlus 3 as well.
