Microsoft has started rolling out an update to its OneDrive for iOS app which adds several new features. The updated OneDrive app is now available to download via App Store.
The latest OneDrive Version 6.13.1 brings the option to save multiple photos and videos to iOS devices. This means that users can now save as many photos and videos from OneDrive as they want in in their camera roll. The "Save Photos and Videos" option can be found by selecting the file and tapping the Share command.
The changelog for the update also lists fixes for some pesky bugs with VoiceOver and albums. Another interesting addition to the
OneDrive for iOS app is 'shake to send' feedback feature. The App Store listing says, "Having sync issues? Please shake to send feedback and an engineer will be more than happy to investigate!"
It's worth noting that the latest OneDrive update is not available to Android users. The Google Play still lists the older version . We can expect the new OneDrive update to start rolling out to Android users soon.
For those unaware, Microsoft ended the unlimited storage offering on its cloud storage service last year, and had also put a cap of 1TB of storage for Office 365 subscribers. The Redmond giant was "genuinely sorry" for curtailing the free OneDrive storage but added won't restore the previous "unlimited" OneDrive storage plans. The company announced that it would allow users to sign up to keep their 15GB of free cloud storage and additional 15GB of camera roll "bonus".
