Breaking Ola, Uber to become one entity: Merger talks being initiated by SoftBank, claims report

Ola and Uber reportedly has begun the merger talks in India, initiated by the Japanese investor SoftBank. SoftBank is the biggest investor in both the firms, eyeing to consolidate the ride-hailing market in India.

Citing sources a report in the Business Standard stated, "Talks have been on between the senior executives of both the firms (Uber and Ola).

“The deal may be closed in a couple of months,” the person told the publication.
