After Motorola, Nokia has now partnered e-commerce major Flipkart for launching smart TVs in the Indian market, marking the smartphone maker's foray into consumer durables space.

Flipkart has entered into a strategic relationship with Nokia that grants it the use of the Nokia brand for smart TVs in India – a global first for the brand in the TV category, a statement said on Wednesday.

Failed at mobile business hence trying hands in Smart TVs.
HMD should have priced their phones fairly. They should have matched Xiaomi's prices who are kings in budget segment. Instead they were greedy. Hence, they failed. Look at Realme. Their OS sucks. But they are still dominating Xiaomi because of aggressive pricing. Now that Samsung is offering TVs under 20k. There is no chance for Nokia to succeed in TV segment.

And they should have named their phones better. I doubt even if they themselves know their phone names and specs properly!

Nokia announced their phones with prime exclusive features and priced high, but launched so late and by that time those features were not exclusive. They were always late in handling Android Mobiles.

Audio by JBL

Flipkart said that Nokia smart TV in India will come with ‘Sound by JBL’ – marking JBL’s foray into the TV space. “The Nokia branded Smart TVs will feature superior audio quality powered by JBL’s sound program, an initiative by HARMAN to expand the uses of its audio expertise further,” said Flipkart in a release.
