Even if it is busy with many advanced Windows Phone handsets, Nokia has surfaced two fresh feature phones namely Nokia 106 and Nokia 107 Dual SIM. Both the devices sport 1.8-inch 65k-color TFT display and are to run on the Series 30 platform. The Nokia 106 is meant for a quad-brand GSM network, while the latter one is for dual-band for both the SIM cards.
In terms of design, both the Nokia 106 and 107 feature several striking similarities. From the display to the dimensions, the devices have equal aspects, of course. Dimensions of the devices go at 112.9mm x 47.5mm x 14.9mm and they highlight dust- and spill- resistant keyboards, LED flashlights and FM radio receivers.
In weight, there is a little variation. The Lumia 107 Dual SIM weighs a bit more than its brother at 75.8 grams due to its larger 1020 mAh battery. It is when the Nokia 106 has an 800mAh battery giving the device a weight of only 74.2 grams. But, thanks to the better battery, the former one is able to allow a battery life of 36 days on stand-by.
Further, the 107 Dual SIM also mounts a microSD slot that can carry cards up to 16GB. It will be enough for users to save up to 3,000 songs and enjoy better music experience. In pricing also, there is some notable change between the devices.
The Nokia 107 Dual SIM that has a larger battery and microSD slot is priced at $25, while its brother comes for a retail price of $23 (excluding taxes and subsidies). And, the company plans to launch both the devices in Q3 in China at first. There is no word yet about its international release, however.
