After prolonged suspense around
whether Feroz Shah Kotla will remain
as the venue for the T20 WC 2016
semi-final, Anurag Thakar, Board of
Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
secretary, has said on Wednessday
(March 23) that there will not be any
shift in the venue, according to an ANI
report. The news agency also quoted
Ravinder Manchanda, Delhi & District
Cricket Association (DDCA) treasurer,
as saying that the state association
has received all clearances to host the
game on March 30.
It was earlier reported that BCCI had
called the DDCA hinting that it was
considering shifting the semifinal to
Bengaluru, forcing the state
association to seek time till
Wednesday. "The DDCA's executive
members along with a top ICC official
and ICC's legal advisor have arranged a
meeting with Justice Mudgal for
