Nextbit Robin ‘Ember’ colour variant launched in India at Rs 19,999...

NEW DELHI: US-based Nextbit has finally launched the 'Ember' coloured variant of its Robin smartphone in India. Available exclusively on Flipkart, the smartphone carries a price tag of Rs 19,999. The limited edition variant sports a black rear panel with bright red-coloured end caps.
Nextbit also announced that it is rolling out a new software update for beta testers. The update adds support for backing up videos in 'Smart Storage,' creating more space on the user's phone. The update will be available in August.
For those unaware, Nextbit Robin comes with a ' Smart Storage' feature which enables the device to free up space by routinely backing up apps and photos to the cloud, as well as by archiving least-used apps in case the space runs out. Robin leaves thumbnails of all the archived content, making it easy for users to restore them with just a tap.
As for the specifications, Nextbit Robin sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. Its display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The smartphone is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
Nextbit Robin is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage and 100GB of additional cloud storage. There's a 13MP rear camera with LED flash at the back and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. The phone also houses a 2,680mAh battery with Quick Charge support.
