Today Railways introducted New Shatabdi Train introduced between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri with brand new LHB coaches. now it would take only 8 hrs to travel between two places which was earlier taken 11 to 12 hrs. this will mainly help for travellers going to darjeeling or gangtok (both hill stations)
the train no is 12042 from NJP to howrah and starts NJP at 5:35am morning and reaches howrah same day at 13:35 noon.
the return train no is 12041 from Howrah to NGP and starts at howrah at 14:15pm and reaches NJP at 22:20pm.
the train no is 12042 from NJP to howrah and starts NJP at 5:35am morning and reaches howrah same day at 13:35 noon.
