Hello!! friends!!

I am Server administrator in one company and managing there sites located at multiple locations due to that i need to be always online I am currently using local fiber connection from last 4 years but due to some work going on in my location I am facing frequently fiber cuts due to that I am searching backup connection I have two options here one is Airtel airfiber other is jio airfiber and finally I selected Jio airfiber!!

KYC was done on 25/12/24 and selected 100 Mbps 3 months plan for which I paid 3333 Rs.

Next day 26/12/24 I received a call from installation person @ 10.30 and fixed an appointment after 12.30, installation guys arrived at a time and work started!!

installation experience!!

Due to lack of knowledge and experience of guys and some backend problem of there jio app installation took almost 5 hours in which I have fine tuned outdoor unit towards best available jio tower which is most important step in airfiber!!

My experience!!

My overall experience is very good till now I am getting around 95 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload speeds constantly there Wi-Fi 6 router is very good in terms of range performance! There Set top box is also good I even noticed it is faster then my firestick 3rd generation i have noticed only one problame so far that star channels are not working in Jiotv+ app

Here are some pics I have taken!

waste of money ,u fill defnetly face some scam on jio side
Ike what scam are you talking about??

1. The equipments jio providing is high quality
2. Even I am receiving plan speed so no complaint over there
3. If you are talking about any kind of billing cycle issue then let me tell you that I have previous 5 months experience of jio fiber postpaid connection so I know how Bill cycle working in jio
4. If you have a some knowledge on how this thing works most errors are self addressable

And lastly what I observed is don't trust Youtubers reviews in this coz thos are mostly misleading example some are saying outdoor STB and indoor STB instead of outdoor unit and router!

Firstly, congratulations on getting your new Jio AirFiber connection installed. 💐

I agree with most of your view points including the billing cycle calculations and lame YouTube videos on AirFiber, just not this one...

Your post #7 says,
2. Even I am receiving plan speed so no complaint over there

But post #1 says,

I think both these statements are contradicting each other. Let me explain why I am saying so.

If you use the same 100 Mbps plan on a JioFiber (wired optical fiber) connection, you'll receive 100 Mbps+ speed for both download and upload consistently. That I would consider as "receiving plan speed". But since it's AirFiber, they have mentioned as "up to 100 Mbps speed" on their website!

The conclusion is AirFiber connections are good for backup when main connection has an outage, but for serious work purposes, optical fiber wins any day. It's just sad state of affairs that our country's two main telecom operators, Airtel and Jio are investing more and more on AirFiber tech these days and doing cost cutting on optical fiber expansion.

First of all thanks for your comment!

Yes I am completely agree with you speeds on fiber will never match any wireless standards I am just saying that I am overall satisfied with the performance!

Yes fiber expansion is not happening bro I am leaving in Gandhinagar the capital city of the Gujarat state still I don't have any options for wired broadband I have applied for every major connection all are not available Jio airfiber is my last option!!
