Hello guys,
I have installed airtel airfibre connection with dth today.
Paid ₹2500 for 3 month ₹699 plan (40mbps + dth)
Here is my review-
Installation: I have been contacting them since Sunday but they took it lightly, as my area is not within tower range (500m) they asked to pay ₹2500 on 19th so that they can activate from their office and install it later...the activation took really long time , like literally I paid in the morning it got activated around 6:30pm and not to forget they asked for multiple otps..here came the nightmare , they didn't install on 19th , stating its too late, I waited on 20th but sadly no one came, even they didn't pick up my phone..today also I called them but they didn't pick up..when I lost all hope, technician called me but came after 4 hr and took almost 2hr to install everything....anyway all well that ends well!
Equipments/hardware: although they claim this is a costly device, I found material used in the router feels quite cheap, even the wall mount stand got cracked too. Even the lan port is not firmly connected, I mean you don't hear that click sound. But the wires feels solid, it has metallic connector at the end. I must say router design is quite weird. Overall I feel jio both router and odu feels more costly or premium as compared to airtel.
Speed and coverage : I am getting more than 40 mbps , earlier upload was half but I fixed it ( more details below). Coverage seems average/weaker than jio but need to check further.
Boot time: I don't know why but boot time of airtel is significantly higher than jio. Literally one can feel the delay
Overall I am satisfied with airtel airfibre . I will share dth review in dreamdth forum. I have some problems there.
IMPORTANT: some people are getting max 10Mbps through ethernet or low upload speed in wifi , the only solution is factory reset the router which will solve both problems..please do it guys. If you need any help do let me know, my friend helped me to navigate through the process
