To facilitate construction work, the National
Rail Museum (NRM) in Chanakyapuri (New
Delhi) will remain closed for visitors till
November 12, 2014.
The museum is carrying out major restoration
and renovation work of the life size exhibits
with the help of Railway workshops and units.
Additional facilities and activities are being
provided in the museum.
The museum, which is located in over 10 acres
of land with both indoor and outdoor exhibits,
focuses on the rail heritage of India.
The NRM was set up in February 1977 and is
over 35 years old today.
