Former Pakistan cricketers Mushtaq
Ahmed and Azhar Mahmood were
appointed the bowling coaches of
Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board
announced on Wednesday (June 14).
The duo will join Steve Rixon, who has
been appointed the fielding coach, as
part of the support staff of the
Pakistan team.
"We have appointed Rixon as fielding
coach, Mushtaq Ahmed as bowling
coach for Tests, Azhar Mahmood
(bowling coach) for the limited over
series," a PCB spokesperson said.
The board also decided to retain Grant
Flower as the batting coach of the
team.
Mushtaq, who is currently working
with National Cricket Academy, has
worked with the Pakistan team before.
He also worked with England as a spin
consultant. Mahmood was appointed
the bowling coach ahead of the T20
WC in India and will continue in the
