Motorola's Moto X (Gen 2) received a
major price cut in the last week of April
and now the company has further
sweetened the deal with a limited period
discount of Rs. 2,000.
The Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) 16GB is
now available at Rs. 24,999 via exclusiv
retail partner Flipkart, while the Moto X
(Gen 2) 32GB variant is now selling at R
27,999. Both smartphones had received
a Rs. 3,000 price cut in April, bringing
down the prices to Rs. 26,999 for the
16GB variant and Rs. 29,999 for the
32GB variant. Separately, the Leather/
Wood back panel model of the Motorola
Moto X (Gen 2) with 16GB storage optio
is now priced at Rs. 26,999 with the
limited period discount.
As before, the Moto X (Gen 2) is availabl
to buy via Motorola's exclusive online
partner, Flipkart .
Unfortunately, Flipkart has not revealed
the duration of the discount and only
notes, "This offer is valid until stocks las
or till the offer ends" on the device listing
pages. It's worth noting that this is the
second consecutive price cut for the
Moto X (Gen 2) within two weeks.
The Lenovo-owned company recently
also announced similar limited period
discounts on the Moto G (Gen 2)
smartphone and the Moto 360
smartwatch . The price cuts from
Motorola can be due to increasing marke
competition from other brands such as
Xiaomi and OnePlus in India.
Initially launched in September last year,
the Moto X (Gen 2) comes with a 5.2-
inch (1080x1920 pixels) OLED display;
2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm
Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974-AC)
processor; 2GB of RAM; 13-megapixel
rear camera with a f/2.25 lens; 2-
megapixel front-facing camera; 4G LTE,
3G, and a 2300mAh battery.
