Ahead of the expected Moto G4 launch in India tomorrow, Motorola has dropped the price of the last-gen Moto G and the Moto G Turbo Edition. The two smartphones have received Rs 1,000 price cut and the new price tag is reflected on both Flipkart and Amazon India. With the price cut, the Moto G (third-generation) is available for Rs 9,999, while the Moto G Turbo Edition is available for Rs 11,499.
Apart from the price cut, Flipkart is also offering an exchange offer on both the smartphones. Flipkart is offering up to Rs 8,000 exchange bonus on the Moto G (third-generation) , which will let you pick up the device for as low as Rs 1,999. The e-commerce site is also offering up to Rs 10,000 exchange bonus on the Moto G Turbo Edition, which will let you pick up the device for as low as Rs 1,499.
These exchange offers are only available on Flipkart, and not on Amazon India. Flipkart is also offering buyers Rs 1,000 discount on the purchase of the Moto 360 smartwatch. This brings the price down to Rs 18,999.
Speaking of Moto 360 smartwatch, Flipkart is also offering Rs 1,500 discount on the purchase of the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) smartwatch. The price goes down by another Rs 1,000 if you buy the smartwatch along with a Motorola smartphone.
The offers on the Motorola smartphones seem like a way to clear stock ahead of the launch of the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India tomorrow. From what we have come across so far, the Moto G4 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617 chipset, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.
It is also likely to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,000mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, and 4G LTE support. The Moto G4 Plus, as the name suggests, will be an upgraded version with a fingerprint scanner on board. While most of the specifications are likely to remain the same, this variant is expected to come with 32GB internal storage and a better 16-megapixel camera.
