According to a report on VentureBeat , the Moto Z2 Play will have a thickness of 6mm, compared to 7mm on the original Moto Z Play. The phone is also expected to be lighter at 145g. While slim phones are the trend, Lenovo is compromising on one of the most important factors of the device – the battery.
To avoid mishaps, Moto Z2 Play will come with a pared down battery. The phone will reportedly feature a 3,000mAh battery which is far lesser than the 3,510mAh one that powers the Moto Z Play. It will be interesting to see the software tweaks Lenovo brings in to support longer hours and better battery life. The change will affect the battery life, bringing it down the talk time to a mere 20 hours from the previous impressive 50 hours.
