Motorola and Flipkart have announced a new offer where you can get the new second-generation Moto X at up to Rs 6,000 discount. They teamed up to provide an exchange offer where you can give away your old device and get the new Moto X for up to Rs 25,999, instead of its original price tag of Rs 31,999.
Only select devices and certain areas in India are eligible for exchange. If both the requirements match, then Flipkart will send their personnel to collect the old device, and in return, give you the new device for the slashed price. In case of return, Flipkart has issued a notice that the old device will not be given back to the buyer. Also, only one device is eligible for exchange per purchase.
The price slash on Moto X depends on the device you are exchanging it for. For example, if you exchange your old Samsung Galaxy Star Pro, then you will be entitled to only Rs 2,000 discount, hence the new Moto X will cost you Rs 29,999. While if you give away a more premium Samsung Galaxy S3, you are entitled to Rs 6,000 discount, making you pay only Rs 25,999 for the new Moto X.
The same offer also stands for the leather back variant of the second-gen Moto X which is retailing on Flipkart for Rs 33,999. You can derive discount up to Rs 6,000, in the similar above manner, and get the device for as low as Rs 27,999.
The new Moto X went on sale in India in September on Flipkart. It flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED 1080p display with a pixel density of 423ppi, and is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB internal storage, but no microSD card slot to expand the memory.
The flagship smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash, and 4K video recording capabilities, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, front-facing stereo speakers, and a 2,300mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, with the OTA update for Android Lollipop rolling out soon.
