After some sketchy images of the purported Moto X (2017) were released earlier this month, another pair of images have been leaked that are being claimed to be that of an early prototype of the Moto X. The images have been leaked by an anonymous tipster, and were first spotted by Tech Droider.
Now, the tipped images reveal the uncanny resemblance of the device to the current Moto Z. The render shows the device with a gold color metal full body design. The front of the smartphone features an earpiece, front camera and home button, which looks like it has a fingerprint sensor beneath it. The rear image of the smartphone shows a camera with an LED flash, with the Motorola logo placed beneath it.
There are no other details available about the smartphone so far. And currently, with barely two leaks in place, it is wise to take in the info with a pinch of salt. Besides, Motorola has also not revealed anything about the possibility of a Moto X next year. To add to that, earlier this year it was Evan Blass , a reliable leakster had revealed that Motorola Mobility and Lenovo are replacing the Moto X series with a brand new Moto Z family. Therefore, either Moto X will be making a comeback, or this could be some other Motorola phone altogether.
Additionally, a few days ago a leak revealed a bunch of details and few images of the purported Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones as well. Three images were leaked, two of which showed the front of the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, and one was a screenshot of a table, which was believed to be the specifications of the smartphones in question.
The front image of both the phones revealed that only the Moto G5 Plus will feature a fingerprint sensor, will be placed beneath its home button. However, barring the fingerprint sensor, going by the looks, both the smartphones look almost identical.
Then, the leaked specifications indicate that the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will both feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Both the smartphones will be powered by an octa-core processor, and both will come with a turbo charging support. Even on the camera front, both Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will feature a 5MP front facing camera.
However, the only area of differences include, the main camera, which is 13-megapixel on the Moto G5 and 16-megapixel on the G5 Plus. Also the storage option differs, which on the Moto G5 is 16GB, and that on the G5 Plus would further come in two variants, with a 16GB and 32GB internal storage support.
In addition to the leaked images and the specifications, the speculated launch date for the smartphones have also been revealed. March 8 is being expected is the date of launch, however, which market would get the smartphone first has not been mentioned. Also, note that, at the end of the day, these still are rumors and none of it has yet been confirmed by the company.
