Report: Motorola Working On Moto X+1; Full HD 5.2-Inch Display, 12MP Camera and More
Motorola is tipped to be working on a successor to its last year's flagship; an alleged image of Moto X+1 has appeared online.
Be the company's sale or closure of Texas plant, nothing is getting in the way of Motorola to come up with a successor to its last year's flagship Moto X. The rumors about the Moto X+1 started surfacing as early as this month, but the Google-owned company launched Moto E and Moto G smartphones instead. But that doesn't mean the 2014 flagship smartphone is out of the picture.
New photos have been posted online by a Baidu forum user, showing the front panel of the rumored Moto X+1 with extremely thin bezels and in a golden finish. The device's outlook looks quite different from its predecessor with a 5.2-inch display compared to Moto X's 4.7 inches. Well, it is hard to determine if the new image is a credible leak or just a photoshopped image.
But other details have also surfaced online about the Moto X+1 in recent days. Just a week ago, the popular mobile tipster@evleaks broke the news of the upcoming rumored Moto smartphone that goes by the codename Victara and which will be sold by all four carriers in the US, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.But the availability details on the Moto X+1 is still kept a secret.
Also, a recent listing on the GFX Bencmark gave details of Motorola XT912A, which is assumed to be the Moto X+1. The specifications include a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, 12-megapixel rear camera, 2MP front shooter and a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution display. The Android version is, as expected, the latest KitKat 4.4.3. The details also reveal that the handset will feature a built in pedometer, which is more likely to be paired with the Moto 360 smartwatch.
