Micromax has introduced a new smartphone for the Indian market. Dubbed the Canvas Spark 2 Plus, it will be available for a price of Rs 3,999. The device will be exclusively available via Snapdeal, starting April 22, via an open sale. It will be available in Metallic Grey, Copper Gold and Champagne Gold color variants.
In terms of specifications, the device features a 5-inch FWVGA display (854 x 480). It’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor along with 1GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 8GB as well.
Running Android Marshmallow, the smartphone comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera. A 2000mAh battery completes the package. It also comes loaded with Indus language solution with support for more than 10 regional languages.
Commenting on the new launches, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics, said, “A large number of consumers are still using feature phones or a second hand phone, which provides immense scope and potential for them to upgrade to affordable smartphones. With the launch of the Canvas Spark 2 Plus, we are offering first time users a smooth transition at a wallet-friendly price. Our objective is to convert feature phone users into smartphone users, and synthesize technology and affordability in one device.”
