In a significant move to curb the dissemination of unlawful content, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India, has issued a notification directing Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to disable public access within India to 25 websites identified as hosting prohibited material.

The Ministry identified ALTT, ULLU, Big Shots App, Desiflix, Boomex,Navarasa Lite, Gulab App, Kangan App, Bull App, Jalva App, Wow Entertainment, Look Entertainment, Hitprime, Feneo, ShowX, Sol Talkies, Adda TV, HotX VIP, Hulchul App, MoodX, NeonX VIP, Fugi, Mojflix, Triflicks being in violation of various laws, including Section 67 and Section 67A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 4 of The Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.

Too late, most of the contents from these sites are available in various objectionable sites, which are unfortunately not banned and can be accessed easily.....
But one good thing, atleast new production would be stopped, which might cause them to fade away from the internet ( Really?)
No way. Indian p**n have grown significantly after COVID. So impossible to control it. They will come with a new nane

Yes they've spread like cancer. Most of them have found/will find hideous different routes to operate and have way more become intelligent. Many of them have been operating in disguised form of chatting and video calling apps. They've reached till roots just like piracy. Government must work more harder in this case.

Don't compare cheap, third class and soft p**n content with piracy. Very different use case and target audience. One makes money from big corporations while causing harm to society so was legal and other doesn't so illegal.
