While rumours of Meizu launching its m3 Note on 6 April are already doing rounds, a ‘light’ version of its MX5 has been unveiled in China, called MX5e Lite. The price of the MX5 at launch time in India was Rs 19,999. The MX5e Lite is pegged at 1499 Yuan (Rs 15,318 approximately) says this report.

The report adds that the Meizu MX5e Lite has a full metal body and features a 5.5 inch Full HD (1080p) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on a 2GHz Mediatek processor and 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The phone comes with a 16MP read camera with laser aided focusing technology and dual tone LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. Additionally, the smartphone is dual-SIM and comes with 4G, 3150 mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a Micro USB port, reveals the report.

Looking at the leaked pictures of the m3 Note , the phone appears to be made of metal this time around as opposed to the previously used plastic. It has a typically large camera lens, dual LED flash and the new Meizu logo. The m3 Note is likely to sport a 5.5-inch display and will be powered by a Helio X10 MediaTek MT6795 processor paired with 2GB RAM. It will come in 16GB and 32GB storage variants. It will mostly come equipped with a 3200mAh battery. The Meizu m3 Note is expected to be priced at CNY 799 (approximately Rs 8,000) for the 16GB storage variant and CNY 999 (approximately Rs 10,000) for the 32GB storage variant.
