After a number of leaks and plenty of speculation, Meizu has finally taken the wraps off its M3 note smartphone. The smartphone has been launched in the company’s home market, China and is priced at 799 Yuan that is approximately Rs 8200.

The successor to the M2 note which was launched in India last year, the new note gets a couple of noticeable upgrades like a metal body, which is drastic change compared to the poly carbonate shell on its successor.

The device has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass protecting it. Inside, there’s a powerful MediaTek Helio P10 chipset octa-core chipset that is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage for the base option. The second option includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both devices pack in a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Coming to the camera, we get a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and a dual-tone LED flash while the front-facing unit gets a 5MP sensor.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE (with VoLTE), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The handset features a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfers. Talking about charging, the device is expected to pack in a massive 4,100mAh battery that Meizu claims will last up to 16 days on standby. Also packed in is a new mTouch 2.1 sensor.

The smartphone packs in dual SIM slot with a hybrid SIM/SD card set up and is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme 5.1 OS running the show.

It will be available in grey, silver and gold starting from April 11 in China. The 3GB variant costs 999 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 10,300. Meizu has not shared any details about the smartphone’s availability and pricing in other markets just yet.
