Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé topped the list of the most valuable football players in the world after being deemed worth €265 million, as six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi was listed eighth after being valued at €125.5 million by Switzerland-based CIES Football Observatory.

The 21-year-old Mbappé has registered 19 goals and 11 assists from 20 appearances in all competitions this season in contrast to the 32-year-old Messi who has managed 16 goals and 9 assists so far.
