Cops on Wednesday arrested a 37-year-old tempo driver for allegedly raping his 13-year-old daughter in front of his wife at their flat in Milind Nagar, Powai, Mumbai Rashidullah Khan was picked up by the police from his home.
Cops are waiting for the medical reports of both the victim and her father.
"The accused did not kept the victim and her mother confined in the house. But both of them were threatened and warned not to reveal the incident to anyone. The matter worsened when the accused raped the minor girl for five times. Scared with the incident, the victim's mother left the house and started staying at their relative's home. Their neighbours were unaware about the incident," said sub-inspector Hanumant Thodkar.
Khan was booked under IPC section 376 ( rape) and 506 (II) (criminal intimidation).
