Logitech Unveils M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse and Silent Mouse Series at IFA...
Does the clicking sound from your mouse bother you? If yes, Logitech has now launched two mouse pointing devices that will take care of this problem for you. If the company is to be believed, the peripherals reduce noise by approximately 90 percent over conventional offerings. The company ahead of IFA 2016 also launched the M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse, meant to be paired with several device types simultaneously.
The Logitech M220 Silent and Logitech M330 Silent Plus have been launched at $25 (roughly Rs. 1,700) and $30 (roughly Rs. 2,000). The M330 Silent Plus will be available in select stores from September, while the M220 Silent will be made available from October. They are compatible with Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, and Linux systems.
The M220 Silent carries a battery life of 18-months while the M330 Silent Plus variant packs a battery life of 24-months. The peripherals are capable of working from up to 33-feet away through a wireless connection. Both mice come with sensor resolution of 1000 dpi.
In case you find it hard to believe company's claims, the mice have also Quiet Mark seal of approval from the Noise Abatement Society.
"Our engineers studied the sources of noise made by a computer mouse and created ways to reduce the decibel level without sacrificing quality," Logitech's Global Portfolio and Brand Director Anatoliy Polyanker was quoted as saying in company's release.
Importantly, the company has clarified that the mice have not lost their clickable feel despite the changes made for reduction of noise.
Coming to the M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse, it is already available via Logitech.com for $69.99 (roughly Rs. 4,700). The multi-device mouse can pair with up to three devices simultaneously, switching between them using the Easy-Switch button. The Logitech M720 Triathlon is compatible with Windows, OS X, Chrome OS, Android, and Linux systems, with iOS conspicuously missing from the list.
For those devices without Bluetooth, the Logitech M720 Triathlon mouse comes with the Logitech Unifying Receiver. It said to feature a durable design that can withstand 10-million clicks, and also comes with a hyper-fast scroll wheel.
