LG’s 5-inch phablet Optimus Vu launched in India for Rs 34,500
LG Electronics has officially launched its phablet, the Optimus Vu in India for Rs 34,500. This is likely to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The Note II costs Rs 39,990. The smartphone was initially announced by the company at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona in February 2012. So yes, this one has taken some time to come to the Indian market.
LG’s Optimus Vu has a 5-inch screen and runs Android’s Ice-Cream Sandwich unlike the Note II which is already on the next Android OS, Jelly Bean.
Here’s a look at the key features of the device:
• The Optimus Vu a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1024×768 pixels with IPS display.
• The device comes with a quad core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz and 1GB RAM.
• It has an eight megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The front camera is 1.3 megapixels.
• The phone comes with an internal storage space of 32GB
• It has a 2080mAh battery with upto 14.99 hours of talk time in 3G.
• The smartphone also has Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
• It comes with a rubberdium stylus, although the phone does not have an internal slot to hold it.
