With the UFC making its long awaited return to Brazil on August 27th, it should come as no surprise that tickets for the event wouldn’t last very long and all it took was 74 minutes after the tickets went on sale for the event to sell out.
Tickets for the show went on sale Friday morning at 11:30pm local time in Brazil and all 14,000 of the HSBC Arena’s seats were gone in just over an hour.
UFC 134 will mark the UFC’s first card in Brazil since 1998. Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena will play host to Anderson Silva headlining the card with a middleweight title defense against Yushin Okami. Okami is the last man to defeat Anderson Silva, though by way of a disqualification due to an illegal strike from Silva, not by a stoppage or judges decision.
