Lenovo on Thursday launched its Yoga Tab 3 (8-inch) 4G LTE version in India alongside the Tab 2 A7-20. Priced at Rs. 16,999, the Yoga Tab 3 was introduced last month during the IFA trade show.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 (8-inch) LTE, as the name suggests, features an 8-inch IPS screen with an HD (1280x800 pixels) resolution and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The tablet also features the company's own AnyPen technology as well. The tech lets users use anything, from a pencil to a fork, as a stylus for the display. The Yoga Tab 3 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (APQ8009 / MSM8909) processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU.
It also features an 8-megapixel 180-degree auto focus rotational camera alongside 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The tablet is backed by a 6200mAh Li-ion battery, which offers up to 20 hours of usage and 95 days of standby time. Measuring 210x146x3.0mm, the Yoga Tab 3 (8-inch) 4G LTE houses speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. The tablet also has a Wi-Fi only version, as well as a 10-inch version with Wi-Fi only and LTE variants.
Lenovo also introduced its Tab 2 A7-20 to the Indian market, priced at Rs. 5,499. The tablet features a 7-inch IPS HD display; quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor; 1GB of DDR3 RAM; 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB); 2-megapixel rear camera; 0.3-megapixel front camera, and a 3450mAh battery. The Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 is a Wi-Fi only tablet and doesn't feature SIM support.
