First announced in June this year, the Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus is finally set to launch in India on November 8. Lenovo has already started sending invites to media for the product launch. The invite also reveals that the Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus will be launching exclusively on Amazon India. The smartphone, successor to last year’s Phab Plus, comes with upgraded features such as Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard, 3GB of RAM and more expandable storage support. The Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus was launched alongside the PHAB 2 and it is not to be confused with the PHAB 2 Pro that went on sale in the US this week. The PHAB 2 Pro is the world’s first Tango-enabled smartphone while the PHAB 2 Plus is a successor to the Phab Plus smartphone. The PHAB 2 Plus features a 6.4-inch full HD display. Under the hood runs 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8783 processor with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage and users can further expand the storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

In terms of photography, the Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus comes with a dual 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It also comes with a rear fingerprint scanner. It is powered by a 4,050mAh battery. For connectivity, the Lenovo PHAB 2 Plus offers dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth v4.0, and microUSB v2.0. The PHAB 2 Plus also has a fingerprint sensor at the back just like the PHAB 2 Pro. The smartphone comes in Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold color choices. When the phablet was first launched, it carried a price tag of $299, which translates to less than Rs 20,000 for the Indian market.

Although there is no word whether the company will also launch the PHAB 2 at the same event, if announced, the low-end variant could carry a price tag of Rs 13,000. The PHAB 2 comes with same display size as the PHAB 2 Plus but with HD resolution and instead of dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, it comes with a single 13-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 5-megapixel front snapper. Furthermore, it is powered by 2GB of RAM and lacks a fingerprint sensor which is available in the higher-end variant.
