Lenovo launches world 1st Tango-enabled AR smartphone PHAB2 Pro at Rs 29990 in India

Lenovo has launched the world’s first Tango-enabled AR smartphone, PHAB2 Pro in India, and priced it at Rs 29,990. The device will be sold online exclusively on Flipkart in Champagne Gold colour from January 20, 2017.

The PHAB2 Pro is powered by Google’s Tango technology – a set of sensors and software that detects and maps surroundings to enable a host of cutting-edge smartphone augmented reality (AR) experiences possible.

“With the introduction of PHAB2 Pro, a first-of-its-kind device in its category, Lenovo aims to revolutionise the way smartphones are used. Our approach to innovation is to ensure we’re constantly evolving and understanding how technology can be infused in everyday lives of consumers. We believe that the PHAB2 Pro is truly a game-changer that will seamlessly integrate into varied lifestyles,” said Bhaskar Choudhuri, Director – Marketing, Lenovo India.

The PHAB2 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage expandable up to 128GB.

The Snapdragon 652 processor brings efficient hardware integration and processing, leading 4G LTE connectivity and cutting-edge time stamping and camera and sensor processing capabilities, the company said.

The PHAB2 Pro features Dolby AudioTM Capture 5.1 with Dolby Atmos playback capabilities. The 16.2 cm (6.4) PHAB2 Pro boasts an intelligent Assertive Display with a pin-sharp QHD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution, capable of optimizing image quality based on ambient lighting and content.
