LeEco has been in India for over a year now and it has already launched its range of smartphones, including the latest Le 2 , Le 2 Pro and Le Max2 . Now, the company looks all set to launch yet another product from its range of portfolio. LeEco has sent out media invites for a launch event that is set to take place on August 4 in New Delhi. The invite teaser hints at a launch of smart TV.

LeEco’s teaser shows off a corner of TV bezel with a small goldfish outside and a big whale on the other side. The caption reads “The future is BIG,” which drops another hint at a large screen TV. While there is no word on any specific model, LeEco could launch the fourth generation Super 4 X50 and Super 4 X50 Pro smart TVs, both of which were launched in China in April this year.

The Super 4 X50 features a 50-inch 4K display and is powered by an MStar 6A938 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM, whereas the Super 4 X50 Pro is the first Android-based TV to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 quad-core chipset paired with 3G of RAM. Both TVs feature a similar design with 9.9mm ultra-slim metallic frame on the sides. The Super 4 X50 and X50 Pro also feature HDR video support.

Based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, the company has included its layer of eUI on top. In terms of audio experience, LeEco has also used Harman Kardon speakers on both smart TVs.

In China, the Super 4 X50 is priced at Yuan 2,499 (which is approximately Rs 25,200) for the 16GB storage variant and Yuan 2,699 (which is approximately Rs 27,200) for the 32GB variant. The Super 4 X50 Pro price starts at Yuan 2,999 (which is approximately Rs 30,170). However, it remains to be seen how aggressive LeEco can get with India pricing.

One of the key areas would be the integration of LeEco’s content offering on these TVs. We won’t be surprised if the company has increased its video content library specifically for them. Earlier this week LeEco announced it had acquired American TV brand Vizio for $2 billion.
