After launching the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2 smartphones in China earlier today, LeEco has now sent out media invites for a launch event on May 3. The event is set to take place in Mumbai, where the company could most likely launch the three smartphones in India. The invite reads “Block your date to witness the revolution. Entertainment will play in a whole new way.” If there is any hint to take, all three smartphones ditch the 3.5mm audio jack, and they come with USB Type-C audio port instead.

LeEco Le 2 specifications and features:

The smartphone houses a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X20 tri-cluster deca-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable storage. Other features include a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, an 8-megapixel selfie camera up front, a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE support and Wi-Fi 802.11ac among others.

LeEco Le 2 Pro specifications and features:

As the name suggest, the ‘Pro’ variant comes with a slightly powerful hardware under the hood. While the screen size, battery capacity and connectivity options remain the same as the Le 2, the ‘Pro’ version is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X25 deca-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage options. It also gets a slightly higher resolution 21-megapixel rear camera, compared to a 16-megapixel unit on the Le 2.

LeEco Le Max 2 specifications and features:

Lastly, the Le Max 2 comes with beastly specification of the three. It flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD display (2560×1440pixels) and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The Le Max 2 packs a slightly larger capacity 3,100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 feature with connectivity options that include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS among others. In terms of software, all three smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with a layer of EUI 5.5 running atop.

All three smartphones also come equipped with CDLA (Continual Digital Loseless Audio) technology uncompressed audio output. These smartphones also come bundled with USB Type-C in-ear headphones. In terms of software, all three smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with a layer of EUI 5.5 running atop.

On the pricing front, LeEco Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2 are priced at 1,099 Yuan, (approximately Rs 11,300), 1,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,400) and 2,099 Yuan (Rs 21,500) in China. It will be interesting to see how well LeEco could price these smartphones in India.
