LeEco Le 2 to be available on Snapdeal starting December 15

LeEco has announced its partnership with
Snapdeal to make its Le 2 available on the e-commerce platform. LeEco, which was initially restricted to Flipkart and LeMall, will now sell on Snapdeal as well. The Le 2 will be available on Snapdeal starting December 15. Also, Snapdeal is expected to introduce offers on Le 2. Le 2 was launched in India earlier this year, and is priced at Rs 11,999.

“We had a very successful partnership with Snapdeal when we collaborated with them for the first time for our Le Max2, during the festive sales. Further to the tremendous user response on their platform, we are delighted to announce that we’re taking forward our partnership with them, this time for Le 2,” Atul Jain, COO, Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India, said.

LeEco Le 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD display and a metal unibody design. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The LeEco icomes with a Type C port which also acts an audio port integrated with its CDLA technology.

In our review, we said Le 2 is a really good smartphone. It’s camera is fast and the battery lasts a good full day of use. For us, the standout feature of the Le 2 is its display. The 5.5-inch Full HD display is extremely crisp with vibrant colour reproduction and has very good viewing angles too. We noted Le 2 has the best camera among all the sub-Rs 12,000 smartphones. The camera on Le 2 is fast and snaps pictures with decent amount of detail.

LeEco Le 2 with 3GB RAM, 64GB storage launched, priced at Rs 13,999: Specifications, features

LeEco has launched the 3GB of RAM with 64GB storage variant of its Le 2 smartphone for online customers as well. The smartphone was so far available via offline stores but now customers can buy the device online exclusively via Snapdeal. The smartphone is priced at Rs 13,999, and is available in Rose Gold color.

Apart from the storage upgrade, rest of the features and specifications of the smartphone remain the same. It is worth pointing out that the original Le 2 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, and is available online for Rs 11,999.

LeEco Le 2 specifications

As far as the specifications go, the smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under EUI 5.8 and is powered by a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. There is however no support for expandable storage.

For photography, the smartphone includes a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

Other key features of the smartphone include fingerprint sensor, which is located on the back, and also the CDLA-based audio technology, which allows audio transfer via USB Type-C port. The smartphone does not have the 3.5mm audio jack .

Considering the price and specifications on offer, the upgraded version of the LeEco Le 2 will compete against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Lenovo Vibe K5 Note.

Priced at Rs 11,999 for the 32GB storage + 3GB RAM, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 hexa-core chipset (four Cortex-A53 cores and two Cortex-A72 cores). The Redmi Note 3 has 16-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera. It is armed with a 4,050mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE and VoLTE voice calling support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS.

Priced at Rs 13,499, the top-end version of the
Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and paired 3GB / 4GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU. With 32GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 128GB is also present. The smartphone comes with 13-megapixel dual LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 3,500mAh battery.

LeEco Le 2 to come bundled with free Reliance Jio SIM when purchased on Snapdeal

Online marketplace Snapdeal on Friday announced some lucrative offers on Chinese smartphone maker LeEcos device Le 2 where users can get free Jio SIM delivered at home.

The offers on 64GB and 32GB variant of Le 2 includes 10 per cent discount on all credit and debit cards, flat 8 per cent discount on flight bookings (economy class) on Jet airways and free home delivery of Jio SIM (users will receive a registration link after a week of phone delivery on email).

Three-hundred lucky customers purchasing the 64GB variant of Le 2 will get the additional benefit of a free CDLA headset, the company said in a statement.

Le 2 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display and powers Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. The device also sports 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.

LeEco has recently started retailing the 64GB variant of Le 2 on Snapdeal.

In our review of the LeEco Le 2 , we concluded that the device offered great value for money, but the lack of a headphone jack, especially on a budget handset, was disappointing. The Le 2 also competes very well with the current budget king, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. It’s relatively poor camera performance and battery life were a letdown, however.
