After launching the Cool1 Dual in August this year, LeEco has quietly announced the affordable Cool1C smartphone in China. Priced at RMB 899 (approximately Rs 8,900), the smartphone will go on sale in China starting December 6. The smartphone will be available in silver and gold color. However, there is no word on when the smartphone will be launched in other regions. The new smartphone brings some minor upgrades in the form 4K recording capabilities. The 4K video recording was last spotted on LeEco’s Le 2, which was launched in India for Rs 11,999.
The Cool1C shares most of the specifications and features with the Cool 1 Dual, with the only difference on the camera front. In place of the dual-camera setup, the new smartphone opts for a 13-megapixel rear snapper with 4K video recording capabilities. Even on the design front, nothing has changed. It comes with a metal unibody design, a fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera, volume rocker and power button on the right side, and the SIM card tray on the left.

The LeEco Cool1C comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. At its heart is a Snapdragon 652 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. It also comes with 32GB of onboard storage.
In the camera department, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, and PDAF. It can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 for selfie lovers. Armed with 4,060mAh battery, the smartphone comes with dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, an IR Blaster and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with EUI 5.8 on top.
In comparison, the Cool 1 Dual was its dual-camera setup at the back. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 32GB and 64GB storage options. On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support.
Other than that, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco’s EUI 5.6 and is powered by 4,060mAh battery equipped with fast charging and also reverse charging capabilities. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C support. The smartphone also comes with fingerprint sensor at the back, placed below the rear camera lens. The company claims that the smartphone’s fingerprint sensor is said to have a reaction time of just 0.15 seconds and can also capture images.
