Lava has announced two new smartphones in its X series. Lava X17 and X50 are 4G smartphones and the company says the devices will strengthen 4G access for Indian consumers.
Lava says X17 is a camera-centric smartphone while X50 is being pitched as a design-centric device. Lava X17 features a 5MP selfie camera with dual LED front flash. Lava X17 comes with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage. Lava X17 also supports expandable storage up to 32GB via SD card slot.
Lava X17 sports an 8MP rear camera capable of shooting time lapse and slow motion video. The smartphone also comes with a keyboard which supports 12 Indian languages. Lava X17 supports 4G connectivity and is backed by a 2,350mAh battery.
Lava X50 is a better designed smartphone of the two with curved back finish. Lava X50 sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with support for one-handed operation. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and has 2GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage.
The dual-SIM Lava X50 features an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera. Both the cameras also feature LED flash. The device is backed by a 2,800mAh battery and supports VoLTE.
Both Lava X17 and X50 smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Lava X17 will be available in Black Gold, White Gold, Champagne Gold and Black Steel colour options. Lava X50 will only be available in Blue colour variant.
Lava X17 is priced at Rs 6,899 and will be available via both online and offline retail channels. Lava is offering double data in collaboration with Airtel on X50 smartphone. Lava X50 is priced at Rs 8,699.
