Noida-based mobile manufacturer Lava on Thursday launched their first handset in its new Metal Series, the Lava Metal 24, priced at Rs 2000 and will be available across national retail stores and multi-brand outlets.
The feature phone comes with a 2.4” screen, 1.3 MP rear camera with flash and a 1000 mAh. It is powered by a MTK6261D processor with memory expandable upto 32GB.
A study by Cyber Media Research (CMR) in November pointed out that LAVA is one of the top mobile handsets used in India and has become one of the more popular Indian mobile handset brand in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and J&K.
There has been a 29% increase in shipment of Lava phones in third quarter of this year taking the number to 7.1 million compared to 5.4 million in last quarter, the study said. Lava is aiming 20 % mobile handset market share by 2018-end.
